Festive commemoration in Cologne

The Hungarians in Cologne also commemorated the 1956 revolution. The program began with a wreath-laying ceremony at the 56th Memorial Cross in the Hungarian House, where the Hungarian Catholic Church and the Order of Vitéz placed a wreath.

The program continued in the Basilica of the Holy Apostles, where those gathered prayed at a festive Mass for the victims of the 1956 revolution, and then we were able to listen to a festive concert.

Cologne is the fourth largest city in Germany, in the federal state of North Rhine-Westphalia. The town on the Rhine is home to the famous Cologne Cathedral, the seat of the Catholic Archdiocese of Cologne. Today, more than half of the population is Catholic. And the church operates a number of schools and social homes. The University of Cologne is one of the oldest universities in Europe.

Festive Mass in the Benedictine Abbey of Tihany, on the feast of beatific Charles IV

On the ecclesiastical holiday of beatific King Charles IV, we commemorate the fact that the last, holy monarch of Hungary spent his last days in Hungary at the Tihany Abbey, 100 years ago, on 26–31 October, 1921. then he was forced into exile.

Among the participants, representing the Association of Hungarian Historical Families was vitéz Archduke József Károly von Habsburg-Lothringen, royal prince of Hungary, Captain General of the Order of Vitéz and his eldest son vitéz Archduke József Albert, royal prince of Hungary, dr. vitéz nob. chev. Ádám Berniczei-Roykó and his wife, vitézt nob. dame Ágnes Berniczei-Roykó.

Ceremony of Investiture in Máriapócs

Celebrating by the Chilean Seat Captaincy of the Order of Vitéz

Far away from the homeland, the Seat Captaincy of Chile celebrated St. Stephen’s day, one of Hungary’s national days.

St. Stephen (István) was the first Christian Hungarian king. The holy crown is still on display in the Parliament. The holy crown is the oldest crown, still in function in the whole world.
