The wreath was placed by the Staff Captain of Germany, at the tomb of Beatific Gizella, Bavarian Princess, the wife of King (Saint) Stephen I, in Passau. Queen Gizella is a supporter of the Catholic Church, a builder of churches and castles. Her name is also associated with the making of the Hungarian coronation mantle. She was beatified in 1911.
